Free Meals for the 2026-27 School Year

The St. Tammany Public School System is pleased to offer free school lunches and breakfasts for all students during the 2026-2027 school year through a program called the Community Eligibility Provision. All enrolled students in the 55 St. Tammany Parish Public Schools are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to parents. Free and reduced meal applications DO NOT need to be submitted. The Community Eligibility Provision is an equal opportunity provider.

CAFETERIA INFORMATION
Parents are invited to eat lunch in the cafeteria with their student on any given day. There are designated tables for students and their visitors. However, when visiting for lunch, the parent may only eat with his/her own student, no other students will be allowed to join at the table. This is for safety reasons, as well as space limitations.
When a parent brings outside food, such as McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, or other store-bought items for their child’s lunch, the parent must walk the meal to the cafeteria and stay for lunch with the items.
Parents: Please note that when dropping off a student lunch, we make every effort to get the lunch to your student. However, there are times when the front office is extremely busy and a lunch may not make it to the classroom. In the event of this circumstance, students are always allowed to eat in the cafeteria at any time.
