School
Philosophy
Little Oak, a child centered school, is dedicated to
provide a balanced program of appropriate school experiences
which facilitate the maximum mental, social, physical,
and emotional development of each child.
In order to be effective the Little Oak
program is broad in scope and provides for a wide range
in rate, timing, and potential for learning that exists
in young children.
This effectiveness is accomplished through our balanced
programs of activity that are planned for the development
of concepts and skills through a curriculum in which the
child is actively involved in his/her own learning experience.
The program provides meangful experiences
in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies,
health and safety, physical education, fine arts, computer
technology, and career education.
Based upon sound principles of education,
which include total development of the child, constant
evaluation by a variety of evaluative procedures, and
the effective use of assistance provided by special services,
Little Oak commits its total effort toward excellence
in education.
